I never knew there were trams in Boscombe. Learn something new everyday!
Does
anyone know when they were removed>

Trams ran approx 1903 to 1933.We are stood in Christchurch Rd Boscombe in what
is now the pedestrianised section.Sea Rd is to the left. The man on the ladder is
near the entrance to the arcade. The building with the white canopy is part of
the arcade building and, along with the arcade, still exists. The building with
the protruding front [ with the pillars ] is the Salisbury Hotel[1890]which was
demolished and replaced by the building that now houses the Salisbury Bars and
the McDonalds restaurant on the corner of Palmerston Rd.
I can recommend a
visit to the Christchurch Electricity Museum in Bargates as they have an
original tram on display.
