February 2009 will be remembered for some of the heaviest snow Bournemouth has seen in many years. It even fell and settled on the beach (keep an eye out for a man going swimming - just in his trunks!).
Here we have a collection of images taken in the Gardens, Beach, Pier and Bournemouth town centre on the morning of the 2nd February 2009.

jim notley Canada  - memories   |Sat-08-2009 the most snow I remember in bournemouth was in 1947/8 when i was 10 years , in moordown we sledded down priory view hill, and then there was the great snow of 1963 the year my daughter was born in feb . of course none of this is as much as we get here ,some years more tyhan 3 ft in one shot.Lots of snow blowing Reply
