Look how dated the WH Smith logo is!

I have to say I personally prefer the more
recent pics to the old ones, can relate to them better.

The old photos of Bournemouth are very interesting especially if there are
buildings that still stand today as they give us something to relate to. The
quality of some of the old photos and postcards can be a little poor and some of
the colourised ones in particular are very unrealistic.
Howeve r, there are
plenty of photos that go back as far as the 1860's that are of an almost
unbelievable quality.
Bournemouth is changing all the time and some
relatively recent photos can be as interesting as those from decades ago.
