Re:Bournemouth Bicentenary 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago
You ask, is anyone doing anything for the Bicentenary next year? Here is one answer! Boscombe Baptist Church - the oldest Baptist Church in Bournemouth - is planning to produce a Second Edition of its History Book next year to coincide with the Bicentenary of Bournemouth. BBC will be celebrating its 135th Anniversary. As the church's historian, and compiler of the First Edition, it will be my responsibility to produce this new edition. I plan to start the history book from 1810 [instead of 1875] and make the first chapter an early history of Bournemouth. This is where I may need help from contributors to this forum to help me compile this. Watch this space for developments. This is quite exciting. I hope to hear from someone on this subject.
