I was born in Bournemouth in 1945 and spent my childhood at various addresses, Northbourne, Branksome, Westbourne, before we settled in Old Christchurch Road-by Horseshoe Common.
My earliest memory is of being in the Royal Victoria Hospital, Boscombe, however I do not have a clue why I was in there. I can remember being in a bed by the door and then being moved to a bed that was on a verandah overlooking the car park, so I could see my mother arriving to visit me.
